New terms??? Empty New terms???

Post  melbratch Wed Sep 08, 2010 7:11 am

Okay, I completed a super easy $50 Target site. I waited my 30 days and submitted my documentation for reporting. I get a response back saying they need billing statements for 2 months???? This is not in the terms and conditions. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do? Thanks...

They are becoming unreal... I didn't see that in the terms either. These invented rules are making me nervous.

Question for you. Once you submitted your documentation, did customer support tell you your "reward claim" was sent to their fulfillment department for verification and approval before requesting two monthly statements, or did they flat out say they needed they two statements? I ask because they have never, from what I know, asked for two billing statements. I'm just trying to figure out what is up with them. You could argue that providing two statements isn't in the terms to see what they say, however, they might just say that it is a new requirement.

That's an entirely different response from what I have seen... Have you replied to them yet? Somebody else had difficulty with Stamps.com, so maybe it's just that offer? Or could they be requesting more info because it's such an easy offer? *contemplating*

Question for all: Anyone else receive a response requesting two billing statements?

My advice with this company, speaking purely from experience, is to be very careful. I got burned when they first started up and had a great offer ($2500 Vespa for 12 offers). Did every offer the first day, was waiting on manual credit for a few things, and they kept giving me the runaround. "Still waiting for verification from this company, you don't need to worry, you don't need to do anything, just hold tight while we get it finalized." I waited and waited, emailing for updates and *if* they answered, they'd just tell me the same thing. In the meantime, I did an extra offer just in case. Finally they said, "Oh, right, that company claims you didn't do their offer through us so we're not giving you credit. And unfortunately it took over 60 days for that response, so even though you're at 11/12 we're closing your account now. And that extra offer? Yeah, we're not counting that. Sorry!"

The point is, it's pretty shady, purposely giving me the runaround so that I was forced to violate their 60-day terms. I heard they did similar things to a lot of people too.

hey amandasaurus, yea i read that before. same excuse about the offer not being completed thru their site. at that time, i thought they had a technical problem. but 1-2 years later it is clear thay they made up an excuse not to pay you - or anyone.

admin - should there be a separate forum for the other acquisis sites? that vespa is from the "other" sites that go thru therewarddepot.

melbratch i cant believe they basically invented a 60 day cancellation limitation on you. they need to put that in the rules if they are really the rules. but yea that will never happen. just hope you get your target card, please keep us updated!

We should keep everything under Acquisis so people aren't confused. However, I CAN create a sub-forum for "The Reward Depot." It would still be under the Acquisis category, but it would be separate. I'll try to work on that... Updated the "Official company and address list" so it's current. In the list are two new Acquisis addresses.

There may be a new and improved forum for us, btw. Will let you all know via blog. This has been discussed privately for a while now. Have to figure out how to move all our posts over. It shouldn't be that hard!
